Between Aug. 19 and Aug. 20 several cars were broken into in the northern portion of Santa Monica. The suspect forcibly entered parked cars and removed miscellaneous items, SMPD Sgt. Jay Trisler said.

The suspect was identified as Amilcar Sanchez, 27, a Latin male standing 5-foot-6, around 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. No suspect vehicle was seen at the time of the burglaries.

After the collision, the driver fled without identifying herself as required by law.
