Expo Light Rail Line

 

Note the following activities:

1. Intersection closures: 11th Street will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic at Colorado Avenue at 9 p.m. from Dec. 2-6. Work will continue 24 hours per day for seven days to install train tracks.

2. Colorado Avenue between Fifth and 17th Streets: Expect westbound and eastbound lane closures during daytime hours. Expect reduction of travel lanes during the non-peak daytime hour at, Fifth, Sixth, 11th, 14th and 17th streets at Colorado. Alleys on the north side of Colorado between Sixth and 17th streets will have limited access. Sidewalk closures on north or south side of Colorado between Fourth and 10th streets.

3. Colorado Avenue between Main Street and Lincoln Boulevard: Expect lane closures during night time hours, 9 p.m.-8 a.m. (Sunday to Wednesday) on Colorado, Fourth Street and Lincoln Boulevard.

4. Olympic Boulevard between 20th Street and Centinela Avenue: Eastbound and westbound lane closures during non-peak hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Annual Street Resurfacing 

 

The contractor will be striping various streets north of Montana Avenue and east of 17th Street. There will be minor street closures but one lane will remain open at all times.

 

Santa Monica Pier Renewal 

 

Construction will continue and is estimated to conclude in spring 2014. The pier and its businesses will remain open during construction. Contact Curtis Castle, civil engineer, at (310) 458-8721 if you have any questions.

 

Advanced Traffic Management Systems Project

 

The contractor will be making concrete sidewalk restoration along Ocean Park Boulevard and rewiring the intersection at Lincoln Boulevard. Expect delays at the intersection of Ocean Park and Lincoln boulevards. One lane of traffic shall remain open at all times.

 

Parking Structure No. 6 

 

There will be periodic sidewalk closures on Second Street between Broadway and Santa Monica Boulevard through Nov. 9. In addition, one northbound and one southbound lane will be closed to vehicular traffic through Nov. 9 for water line construction activity on Second Street between Broadway and Santa Monica Boulevard. A minimum of one traffic lane will be open in each direction at all times. Temporary traffic control signs and barricades will be deployed to guide vehicular and pedestrian traffic in and around the work areas. Materials delivery work will take place in the alley behind the parking structure (Second Court), with partial alley closures taking place through Nov. 9th. All work will take place Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

 

Wastewater Main Improvements Citywide 

 

The contractor is scheduled to begin installation of a new sewer main in 32nd Street between Pico and Ocean Park boulevards. This work will take place between the hours of 8 a.m.-6 p.m. 32nd Street will be closed to through traffic. Please use alternate route whenever possible.  The Village 

 

There will be a lane closure on the northbound side of the 1700 Block of Ocean Avenue, extending south to Vicente Terrace. The parking lane and the number two lane will be closed for sidewalk, curb and gutter rework from Vicente to Pacific terraces. One lane will be available in the northbound direction at all times. The southbound lanes will not be impacted. City officials will also be closing down the sidewalk and parking lane on the west side of Main Street and Olympic Drive for sidewalk, curb and gutter rework. High Place East 

 

There will be delivery trucks throughout the week on Cloverfield Boulevard between Interstate-10 and Virginia Avenue, and on Virginia Avenue between Cloverfield and 27th Street for the development of 45 affordable housing units.
