Santa Monica raw food and vegan restaurant Euphoria Loves RAWvolution avoided foreclosure by raising the $30,000 it needed to stay open. The restaurant has been attempting to raise money for the past few months on the fundraising website Indiegogo.

Café Gratitude, a popular vegetarian and vegan restaurant located in Venice, was among those who helped RAWvolution get over the hump by promoting the Santa Monica restaurant via their Facebook and Twitter pages. The cafe also donated its profits from its best-selling “Gratitude” bowls sold during the first week in March.

However, due to Café Gratitude’s support and the response of Santa Monica locals via Indiegogo and otherwise, Café Gratitude’s donations were not needed to save RAWvolution, according to a press release issued by RAWvolution. Instead, the money has been donated to supply fresh local organic produce to Bread and Roses, a homeless food program on Rose Avenue.

“At RAWvolution, we are so grateful for the community support we have received and the difference it will make to our cafe and the people we joyfully serve,” said Janabai Amsden, co-owner of RAWvolution.
