NOTICE OF A CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE SANTA MONICA ZONING ADMINISTRATOR
A continued public hearing will be held by the Zoning Administrator to consider the fol- lowing request:
The applicant requests the installation of eight (8) 8-foot tall and three (3) 6-foot tall roof- mounted panel antennas with remote radio units (RRU), along with three (3) GPS anten- nas on an existing single-story building. The 8-foot tall antennas and associated RRUs are located on the northwest corner of the roof and the 6-foot tall antennas and associated RRUs are located on the southwest corner of the roof. The GPS antennas are mounted behind the existing building parapet and an emergency generator plug is proposed on the back of the building. All proposed antennas and RRUs will be located behind new screen- ing that matches the existing building.
As proposed, the project does not comply with the requirements for non-parabolic or par- abolic antennas contained in Santa Monica Municipal Code (SMMC) Section 9.04.10.06.110 and 9.04.10.06.160. Pursuant to SMMC Section 9.04.10.06.110(b) and 9.04.10.06.161, the Zoning Administrator may approve modifications to the require- ments for non-parabolic or parabolic commercial antennas through the approval of a Use Permit application.
