The Santa Monica boys basketball team is ranked eighth in the latest CIF-SS poll.

The Vikings recently ended an 11-game winning streak, but the team is still in first place in the Ocean League.

Like the girls, the Samohi boys are 16-6 overall and 6-0 in league play. The boys played as part of a twin bill on Wednesday, but that score was also not available at presstime.

St. Monica’s boys are 13th in the poll. The Mariners are 13-9 overall and 5-1 in league. The team is in second place in the Camino Real League, one game behind La Salle.

Crossroads (11-11 overall and 0-7 in the Olympic League) is holding on to the 13th spot in the Division 5AA poll. The team is currently mired in a eight-game losing streak. Crossroads will play Windward on Friday on the road. The game will begin at 7 p.m.
