Editor:

Now that the city of Santa Monica has been successfully infiltrated by the “pedalphiles,” aided and abetted by our clueless City Council, which is now heralding the entrance of the vaunted Expo Line that they predict will bring thousands of out-of-town bicyclists to our already bloated city, it is only fitting and proper that the city and the council address the effect of their “success” on our once fair city.

So in the sense of fairness, the city of Santa Monica should require bicyclists who now equally share the streets with autos and often share the sidewalks and crosswalks with unsuspecting pedestrians to be licensed and insured.

Share and share alike. Right?
