Letter: Blacklisted By NONE on October 12, 2012 in Opinion 2 It seems to me that the proposed new smoking ban would constitute housing discrimination and an invasion of privacy. It would also brand and blacklist respectable citizens and visitors to our fair city. Karen A. Baker Santa Monica Bill Lackey says: October 13, 2012 at 2:36 PM Just imagine that our parents moved to Santa Monica for the good schools. Used to get sent home if your hair was over your ears. Now it’s ok to have a tattoo on your face. Samohi is a sewer now. I had some interesting encounters with tom Hayden. Lee Markle says: October 13, 2012 at 2:06 PM I was born and raised in Santa Monica. The best thing I did was move. Ever since Tom Hayden, Derek Shearer and the rest of the Left Wing clowns took over the city has not been worth living. They not only have disrespect for the Constitution, it is their intent to destroy it. It is NO one’s business if someone smokes in their own home. Frankly, I don’t smoke, never have and never will, but the stink put out about “second hand” smoke is a crock. This city would be better served to go take a look at Samohi. I was just there for the first time in 40 years. Not only is it falling apart, it’s a disgusting filthy mess. If I didn’t know better I would have thought I was in a NY ghetto.
