There have been 4,810 gun deaths since Sandy Hook according to the Twitter feed @GunDeaths and now there have been more after the shootings in Santa Monica. Each one of those deaths is devastating and the grief affects loved ones for a lifetime. We may not be able to implement sensible gun laws today but we can do our small part by doing an act of kindness, saying hello to a stranger, and/or avoiding conflict. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain by remembering the humanity of this world.
