XRDS — A 65-51 win over Kilpatrick on Monday gives Crossroads a three-game winning streak since former coach Kevin Jackson stepped down in December.

The victory improves the Roadrunners to 6-5 overall and more importantly 1-0 in the Delphic League.

Next for Crossroads is a matchup with nearby Brentwood, the No. 2 ranked team on the CIF-Southern Section Division 4A poll. The game is part of the Crossroads Extravaganza. The Roadrunners are unranked.

 

Samohi girls prep for Inglewood

 

Santa Monica’s girls’ basketball team limps into its Ocean League opener against Inglewood with a 1-12 record.

The Vikings are stuck in a 12-game losing streak as they attempt to right the ship and earn a spot in the playoffs.

The game is scheduled for Wednesday at Inglewood. It begins at 6 p.m. and is part of a double header with the boys’ teams from both schools. That game begins at 7:30 p.m.

 

Xrds soccer travels to Paraclete

 

Crossroads’ boys’ soccer carries an impressive 8-1-1 record into its Alpha League matchup with Paraclete.

The Roadrunners are 2-0 in league and ranked No. 6 in the latest CIF-SS Division 5 poll. Crossroads is the defending champ in the division.

The game is the league opener for Paraclete, a team with a 3-6-1 record during the preseason.

The game is scheduled for Wednesday at Paraclete in Lancaster. It begins at 5:30 p.m.
