LOS ANGELES, CA (April 22, 2013) – Southern California’s preeminent Arts education organization, City Hearts: Kids Say Yes to the Arts presents “A Day of Enchantment” featuring The 4th Annual Shakespeare Challenge, Recital and Photography Exhibit on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga, from 10am to 2:30pm. This is a free community event showcasing the work of over 200 students from Los Angeles’ inner city communities who have participated in City Hearts’ Arts programming in Shakespeare, Dance, Musical Theatre and Photography. Under beautiful oaks surrounding the Main Stage, students will kick-off the day competing in the Shakespeare Challenge, performing scenes and monologues before a panel of Judges and attending audience members. Judges invited to participate are: Max Adler, Ellen Geer, Jennifer Bronstein, Walton Goggins, and Armin Shimerman. Many of the children have competed in the Challenge since its inception, and for others, it will be their very first time. We welcome all the children and admire their formidable courage and effort.
