Colonials: An American Shakespeare Company, a Santa Monica-based group, is dedicated to producing the plays of William Shakespeare on the Westside. This spring, Colonials are producing the hysterical, The Taming of the Shrew, and the profound and moving, Hamlet, at the beautiful Miles Memorial Playhouse in downtown Santa Monica from March 1st to April 16th at 8 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. The plays will run in repertory and will be performed by a cast of veteran Shakespeareans with an emphasis on Shakespeare’s language and the actors’ work.
