MEANWHILE, BACK AT CAFÉ DU MONDE…, the popular, unique, and festive food monologue show presented by foodie personalities and special guests is now a coffee table book published by Pelican Publishing. The Los Angeles premiere of the MEANWHILE, BACK AT CAFÉ DU MONDE… show took place back in 2010 & 2011 and was a smash hit. Santa Monica Shows were held at Sonoma Wine Garden and SOUTH Santa Monica. The book features Adam Milstein, co-owner of SOUTH. His story is called “A Bit of SOUTH in Santa Monica”!
SOUTH Santa Monica will be hosting the Los Angeles book launch party on Tuesday, January 15th from 6-8:00 PM with appetizers, cash bar, book signing by creator/editor – Peggy Sweeney-McDonald with featured contributors – Adam Milstein, Lisa Annitti, Diana Zollicoffer, Lance Spellerberg and Wayne Bennett.
Humorous and heartfelt, these personal food stories all have the common thread of food – our culture and relationships, personal life stories, restaurant experiences, past love affairs, and more. “We’ve all experienced the highs and lows of life, which mostly revolve around our food experiences,” says creator/producer Peggy Sweeney-McDonald, a former actress and veteran event producer (Superstar Events-LA) and 15-year resident of Los Angeles, CA. Everyone has their own “Café Du Monde” experience—the place where they know what they are ordering, they know it is delicious, and they know they are with good friends and family and for that hour, life is really wonderful!
