Beverly Hills, CA… Local author and Falconry authority Stacey Patterson will read and sign copies of her newly released children’s book  Fidget’s Folly at Poppies Bookstore (3614 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrance, CA) on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11 a.m.

Patterson is a true peregrine falcon aficionado, maintaining state and federal permits to practice falconry as well as volunteering with a local wildlife organization in the Los Angeles area.

Containing illustrations by Russian-born artist Vadim Gorbatov, Fidget’s Folly comes alive upon the pages in this tale of two young peregrine falcons embarking upon their first adventures of freedom. Patterson’s love of peregrine falcons, a species that was removed from the federal endangered species list in 1999, was the inspiration for her first publication Fidget’s Freedom in 2006.
