On Tuesday, March 5, the acclaimed Westside concert music series Chamber Music Palisades will present the world premiere of a concerto by internationally renowned composer John Steinmetz. Titled Together Again a chamber concerto for flute and piano with percussion and strings, the composition will be the featured work of the third concert in the CMP 2012-2013 season. Tickets are available at the door, $30; students free with ID.
Commissioned by CMP, the new concerto will be performed by flutist Susan Greenberg and pianist Delores Stevens with violinist Maia Jasper, violist Dana Hansen, cellist Gloria Lum, bassist Nathan Farrington and percussionist M. B. Gordy. The balance of the program will include a trio by Anton Reicha, who was a close friend of Beethoven and teacher of Franz Liszt, plus the dynamic �Trout� Piano Quintet by Franz Schubert.
