Listen harder…if you do, you might be able to hear the story music!” Join Santa Monica Playhouse as its sister company, the U.K.’s renowned Playbox Theatre, presents “BEAUTIFUL SOUP,” a heart warming tale that takes you deep into the woods to peek through the doors of the little white cabin, where you will meet the three friends, Duck, Squirrel and Cat…who are cooking up the best soup you’ve ever tasted! But chaos ensues when Duck decides that it’s his turn to stir the soup! Action-packed storytelling with colorful characters, bagpipes and moogie-beasts, this charming production, written by Toby Quash and directed by Mary King, is accompanied by a fun on-stage interactive workshop for youngsters ages 3 to 8 and their grown-ups. Enthralling youngsters in England and Japan, this charming production now makes its American debut in the Playhouse’s intimate Artists’ Entrance Studio.
