Olympic Boulevard between 20th Street and Cloverfield Boulevard will be closed from March 25 through May 2 from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday for construction of a bridge for the Exposition Light Rail Line.

Officials with the Exposition Construction Authority said construction crews will be erecting falsework using timber and steel forms as a mold for the cast-in-place bridge that will span Olympic Boulevard.

The work will take place at night to limit traffic impacts. Construction will be phased so that eastbound and westbound traffic lanes on Olympic Boulevard will not be closed at the same time. The intersection of Olympic and Cloverfield will remain open to through traffic, however, turns onto westbound Olympic will be prohibited.

Traffic will detour as follows:

• Eastbound traffic on Olympic will be detoured at 20th Street.

• Westbound traffic on Olympic will be detoured at Cloverfield.

• All traffic lanes will be open to through traffic during the day.

• Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced at all times.

Officials said access to businesses and homes will be maintained and noise levels will be monitored.
