NORTHRIDGE — Pacifica Christian overcame a late deficit to steal a first-round playoff victory over San Fernando Valley Academy, 63-56, Wednesday on the road.

The Seawolves were down with just three minutes left in regulation before pulling out the victory in Division 6AA.

No. 5 seed Pacifica was led by point guard JR Walker’s 19 points.

Pacifica advances to take on AGBU of Pasadena tonight on the road. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.

“They are really tough defensively,” Head Coach Kevin Kelsey said of AGBU. “We’ll also have to protect against their 3-point shooting.”
